MY BACKGROUND

Since 2010, I’ve been working with students of all ages and abilities and guiding them as they work to build their skills and craft. I founded Small Town Theatrics, a community theatre, which connected me with actors from across the state, and then began my directing career at Coal City Schools in 2012.

Coal City Theatre Department has garnered 29 Illinois High School Musical Theatre Award nominations, including wins for 2026 Best Production winner for Frozen and 2023 Best Director for Anastasia. Additional Coal City Theatre Department won an IHSA Drama Series State Championship in 2026 for their musical revue of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

This past year, I directed the opening ceremonies of the 2026 Illinois High School Theatre Festival, after being the costume designer for the 2025 All State Production of The Prom, and 2023 All State Production of Shrek the Musical.

Whether you are wanting to pursue acting professionally, or it's a hobby, I am here to help you reach your goals.
