MY BACKGROUND

Since 2010, I’ve been working with students of all ages and abilities and guiding them as they work to build their skills and craft. I founded Small Town Theatrics, a community theatre, which connected me with actors from across the state, and then began my directing career at Coal City Schools in 2012.

Coal City Theatre Department has garnered 25 Illinois High School Musical Theatre Award nominations, including four nominations for Best Direction in 2018, 2019, 2023, and 2024. I was the 2023 recipient of Best Direction of a Musical and was selected for Illinois Theatre Association's Excellence in Secondary Education in 2020. This past year, I joined the 2025 Illinois All State Production Team for The Prom, after being on the team in 2023 for Shrek the Musical.
